Each type of cable has its particular advantages. Plug and Play does exactly what its name touts, and is very easy to use. The connectors for power, video and audio are all pre-attached. All you need to decide is what length of cable you need. The one disadvantage to Plug and Play cable is that it is not heavily shielded. This can make for interference on the line if run over long distances. Siamese cable, on the other hand, is a heavily shielded cable which has both the video cable (COAX) and the power cable (18 gauge conductor) in one jacket. The advantages to using Siamese cable are its durability and the fact that you can run it over long distances without interference. Disadvantages include the lack of audio cable making it necessary to run a separate line if you should need it.
